For me, it was always about diving headfirst into every opportunity, believing that more experience meant more growth.

In 2004, I made a bold decision that would forever change the course of my life. I traded in spreadsheets for saucepans and embarked on a thrilling journey into the heart of the culinary world.

My name is Beau du Toit, and this is the story of my transformation from an accountant to a chef.

It all began at Zevenwacht chef school, in Kuilsrivier, where I immersed myself in the art and science of cooking. From mastering the perfect knife skills to understanding the intricacies of flavor combinations, every moment spent in the kitchen fueled my passion for gastronomy, but my journey didn’t stop there. Along the way, I embraced the hustle and bustle of the culinary industry, taking on not one, not two, but up to six different jobs simultaneously.

For me, it was always about diving headfirst into every opportunity, believing that more experience meant more growth.
